Six Sentence Sunday: Fury – part 7

I sort of took this week off…  Read and slobbed mainly 😉

Anyway, here’s my 6 from Fury:

She breathed in the warm, bloodied scent, finding it over the stink of people, of animals that swept around the high palace walls. The stall came closest to keeping the meat raw.  Her stomach growled and she could no longer resist. With a few snarling bites and quick swallows the meat-filled wrap was gone.

“No, I wouldn’t trust that mouth of yours anywhere near my dick.”

Ava almost choked on the last crumbs of bread still in her mouth.

Six Sentence Sunday: Fury – part 6

I’m plodding along with Fusion…and got distracted yesterday by an evil contemporary.  I do not write contemps.  No. Not anymore… 😕

Anyway, here’s a bit of Fury:

“What?”

“Bruises.”  She bit out the word and held his gaze, saw the memory flicker there.

His hand eased but he didn’t let go.  He pulled her behind him.  “I’m not used to women with so little stamina.”

Sale! CURRENT to Ellora’s Cave

Ellora’s Cave have agreed to publish the third book in my Planetary Bodies series, Current!

This story is slightly darker than Magnetism and Friction, but it fits with the characters.  Lawe is a new fav hero.  Just saying.  Here’s the unofficial blurb:

Alexandra Syato has complete control of her life.

She’s rich and has Captain Rhearden Lawe as a delicious friend with benefits.  Her life couldn’t be more perfect.  Until the mysterious force known as sheen turns her world upside down.

It changes Lawe in a way she doesn’t expect and now her easy-going friend has become a dark and brooding stranger, determined to take her control. She can’t fight their new, blistering attraction.  But the price for having him may break her. Completely.

Six Sentence Sunday: Fury – part 5

So my good news from last week was the fact that I sold Bitter Harvest, my m/m post-apoc romance to Carina Press.  It’s due out in March 2012. 😀

If you want to read snippets of it, it first appeared as part of Six Sunday.  There’re are about 5 parts of it, I think.

Anyway, here’s my next 6 from Fury 🙂  I’m half way through Fusion and Frequency is mostly planned, so I should be back to this wip soon. Can’t wait 😀

She wanted skin and flesh, the slide of his against her own.  To bite him.  Fuck, to devour him.

Heyerdar broke their kiss, but buried his face against her neck, his teeth grazing her.  Breaking the skin. “You shouldn’t feel so fucking good.”

Sale! BITTER HARVEST to Carina Press

I was minding my own business in Writechat.net one day when I was hustled by CM Torrens and Marguerite Labbe.  They forced a plot bunny on me…and Bitter Harvest — a m/m post apocalyptic romance — was born.  The story was way out of my comfort zone. I’d never written m/m before, but these two men, Rider and Sutton, refused to be anyone other than who they are.  They gave me a hell of a ride…lol

Carina Press has contracted Bitter Harvest and it should be out early 2012.  Here’s the unofficial blurb.

Lieutenant Robert Sutton has survived by luck, his wits and a chance mutation. The pheromones of the infected—how they first pull in their victims—has no effect on him.  Or so he thinks.  He’s survived on the emptied streets of London for years, but now the infected are closing in.  They will have the last humans for themselves.

For Sutton, and the people he cares for, time has run out.

So the capture of Nicholas Rider is too convenient.  A man who’s survived the nano-virus that’s almost destroyed the planet, a man whose striking sexuality wraps around Sutton.  He’s a trap.  He can’t be trusted.

Yet Sutton can’t resist him and it could mean the end of his world.

Six Sentence Sunday: Fury – part four…and a little extra

I was good and finished Current and subbed it 😀  Now I’m about 3.5k into Fusion. So today’s Six Sunday is a bit of a double whammy.  Six lines from Fury and a just a little bit more than six from Current.  Enjoy.

First, Fury:

“What?”

“Your clothes.”

“Captain…”

“I’m the left hand of the emperor.”  A twist of a smile touched Heyerdar’s mouth.  “You obey me as you do the right hand.”

And a snippet from Current:

He growled and his fingers tightened at her wrists, pressed deep into her sex so that her body arched back against his.  “You think this is a fucking joke?”  His teeth found the curve where her neck met her shoulder.  Pained-pleasure lanced and Syato bit back a cry.  “Feel like a joke now?”

Dark spots danced across her vision and she fought to breathe.  What was he doing?  “No.  No it doesn’t.”

Six Sentence Sunday: Fury ~ part 3

The week was split between Fury and Current. I’m still writing Current now. If I get though it, Fusion and Frequency, then yes, Hailey Edwards, I can get back to writing Heyerdar. 😉  I do have 27k to pick from for 6 Sunday though.

Oh and I also got good news in the middle of the week. But I can’t share it yet…

A thin smile touched Heyerdar’s mouth. “My power comes from the heart of the earth. Remember that.” He leaned forward his mouth so close to hers she tasted his sweet breath and couldn’t stop the quick hitch in her chest. His voice was just above a raw whisper. “Never offer me anything you’re not willing to lose.”

Six Sentence Sunday: Fury – part 2

Fury went to a very dark place this week.  I’m not sharing that yet, if at all…so here’s something from early on with Ava and Heyerdar 🙂

Heyerdar’s hands tightened on her hips, his fingers digging into her flesh hard enough to bruise. His eyes had grown dark.  “And for this…?”

“A kiss.”

A smile lifted his mouth, wry and wicked. “So little.”
