Cover Love: Bitter Harvest

Isn’t it nice? Here’s the unofficial blurb:

It’s 2050, and humans are an endangered species. Lieutenant Robert Sutton has survived the collapse of civilization by luck, his wits, and a chance mutation that makes him immune to the nano-virus that has wiped out millions. Now, his compound of survivors is surrounded by the infected, who are driven by the need to spread the contagion through sex. It’s only a matter of time before they attack. So when Sutton is assigned to interrogate a prisoner who claims to have overcome the infection, he immediately suspects a trap…

Nicholas Rider may have survived the virus, but he’s a changed man, ruled by his desires. But his need for Sutton is different. Rider craves an end to his overwhelming needs, and Sutton could be the man to do it.

Secure in his belief that he’s invulnerable, Sutton can’t understand or resist his intense attraction to his prisoner. Will Rider be his downfall—or his saviour?

BITTER HARVEST is out 19 March from Carina Press.

Six Sentence Sunday: Fury – part 5

So my good news from last week was the fact that I sold Bitter Harvest, my m/m post-apoc romance to Carina Press.  It’s due out in March 2012. 😀

If you want to read snippets of it, it first appeared as part of Six Sunday.  There’re are about 5 parts of it, I think.

Anyway, here’s my next 6 from Fury 🙂  I’m half way through Fusion and Frequency is mostly planned, so I should be back to this wip soon. Can’t wait 😀

She wanted skin and flesh, the slide of his against her own.  To bite him.  Fuck, to devour him.

Heyerdar broke their kiss, but buried his face against her neck, his teeth grazing her.  Breaking the skin. “You shouldn’t feel so fucking good.”

Sale! BITTER HARVEST to Carina Press

I was minding my own business in Writechat.net one day when I was hustled by CM Torrens and Marguerite Labbe.  They forced a plot bunny on me…and Bitter Harvest — a m/m post apocalyptic romance — was born.  The story was way out of my comfort zone. I’d never written m/m before, but these two men, Rider and Sutton, refused to be anyone other than who they are.  They gave me a hell of a ride…lol

Carina Press has contracted Bitter Harvest and it should be out early 2012.  Here’s the unofficial blurb.

Lieutenant Robert Sutton has survived by luck, his wits and a chance mutation. The pheromones of the infected—how they first pull in their victims—has no effect on him.  Or so he thinks.  He’s survived on the emptied streets of London for years, but now the infected are closing in.  They will have the last humans for themselves.

For Sutton, and the people he cares for, time has run out.

So the capture of Nicholas Rider is too convenient.  A man who’s survived the nano-virus that’s almost destroyed the planet, a man whose striking sexuality wraps around Sutton.  He’s a trap.  He can’t be trusted.

Yet Sutton can’t resist him and it could mean the end of his world.

Six Sentence Sunday: Bitter Harvest

New week, new wip, Bitter Harvest.  I’m having so much fun with this story, it’s unreal.

“Who’s your type?”  He paused and the hot shine in his eyes made thinking difficult.  “Because, right now, you want nothing more than to take me and fuck me.  Do it, lieutenant.” He wet his lips.  “Do it now.”
