Buying Mackenzie’s Baby… is here!

Blurb

The morning after a high society party finds Kate Hartley in her ex-husband’s bed. Just a stupid mistake; something to put behind her… Until she discovers that she is
pregnant.

Mack had never wanted children; had only married her in a rush of lust. Kate knows this. Nothing would drive her to ask anything of him. Nothing. But she’s homeless and flat broke.

And it isn’t only her welfare now.

However, Mack has his own agenda. Kate had fooled him once; married him for his money. Whored herself… It was why he had divorced her. But now his grandfather has threatened his mother’s home if Mack doesn’t marry and produce an heir.

He had vowed never to marry again. But Kate Hartley is his
only choice.

And pay back can be sweet…

Buy it here *grin*

And the count down begins

It’s probably about another 24 hours before Buying Mackenzie’s Baby escapes.

Getting nervous now. I’m really not sure how the hero, Mack, is going to be received, LOL He’s not the usual instantly attractive alpha that’s the norm in contemporaries. He’s a bitter man, wounded and he needs time to heal.

I imagine everyone will hate him to some degree.

But he’s worth it. Honest.

Back to school

Frodo went back to school this morning.

He was so excited he dressed himself, even attempting the buttons on his shirt in his eagerness. The Ent drops him off at breakfast club, so he eases his way into the school day with play, rather than straight into the class. He practically skipped in. *grin* (Frodo, not The Ent. Though he may have. He has no embarrassment gene to speak of)

Samwise was jumping up and down to go to nursery. Ran in, stuck his name on the board, ran to the drawing table, finished a drawing and put it on the window sill. I tried to say goodbye, but he was too busy sharpening a pencil and looking for something else to do.

Great not to be wanted, hehe

So I came home, determined to write in the quiet time. And just hammered out 1100 on a idea that I had about two weeks ago. Yes. I had an idea. Just came to me… pop… in the middle of CSI. And it has nothing what so ever to do with Crimimalistics, LOL

Have to jot down the rest of it. The middle is hazy, but I have the end, so it’s something to work towards. Tonight that means I can carry on with Past Lies without this thing bugging me. Which is extra cool too.

Weddings and BBQs

A generally busy weekend.

A wedding that’s been a long time in coming, finally happened. A friend who I worked with in Mordor tied the knot here. Frodo and Samwise belted about for roughly twelve hours in the extensive grounds, finding every dangerous place that they could. The electrical cable hidden under the bushes, the half formed pond, the busy road…

It was odd to see everyone again after five years away. Most of the people have moved on from PwC and it was a time warp for them.

The weather held out and we could spend the day outside – mostly chasing Frodo and Samwide (see above *grin*)

Coming back this afternoon, we got invited to a neighbour’s BBQ as we got out of the car. Frodo had a sleep – he was totally knackered – then we went out again, with much grumbling from said Frodo. He lounged on a couch, until conveniently getting a second wind when he saw the trampoline in the garden. Bouncing ensued.

Samwise learned the valuable leason against an attacker with a long sword. He got in close with with his short sword, thus negating his opponent’s advantage…

I’m a bad mother, aren’t I?

7% and Rising is with my editor. About a two month’s wait to see if she likes it or not, LOL.

Time to work on something else. *grin*

Samwise goes forth

Samwise returned to Pre-School this morning. No tears, no vomiting (that was fun at the beginning of last term), he just ran in, sat down and started sharpening a pencil. Which was cool, because I had to rush home to met Frodo who was attending his occupational therapy session.

He’s got big and small know. Mainly due to his recent birthday presents, large dalek, small dalek; large cyberman, small cyberman. He’s having trouble with grouping large and small and behind and in front. I’ve been chasing him around the front room most of the day, tickling him and trying to demonstate these concepts, LOL I have no idea if it was working, but we giggled a lot.

I finished Parallel Worlds by Michio Kuko. There was a part in section two that was interested and gave a clear demonstation of how one could exist and what it would be like. Then it lost me to string theory and M-branes and I couldn’t see what the point was anymore. *sigh* Especially the Be excellent to each other in the last few paragraphs. Very Bill and Ted. And what happened to the endnote numbering? There are a tonne of endnots and not one indication in the main part of the text. *grr* The notes about time did help with 7% and Rising though. Made it a bit different from the usual time travel stories I’ve read…

I’m now reading The Night Watch by Sergi Lukyanenko and Emperor by Stephen Baxter.

It’s now been a month since The Bone Magician’s Daughter made its merry way out into the world. And it’s a fortnight for The Third Proposal. I want to add 7% and Rising to the list.

I just need to add just that little bit extra to the almost last scene…
