Book pimpage: THE WEATHERFIELDS HEIR by David Bridger

A new release – THE WEAVERFIELDS HEIR by David Bridger

When Kate Richards inherits a dilapidated English estate from her estranged grandfather, she finds herself thrust into a world full of hostile new family members, mysterious Romany tenants, and strange visions of “the net” – an invisible web that connects everything in the universe. Kate thinks she’s losing her sanity, but the odd family stories and disturbing tales of locals convince her that something sinister is going on at Weaverfields, while the inescapable pull of the net draws her deeper into the secrets of her new home.

But with those secrets come danger, and an old evil that refuses to let go of its hold on the net – or on Weaverfields. The only person who seems to understand is Joe, a Romany street artist with his own ties to the land. Kate and Joe must master the net before the past intrudes on the present… in very ugly ways…

I’m hunting wabbits…

I’m known for my bunny attacks–and the ability to deflect bunnies onto other people (it’s an evil skill I have *insert manical laughter)–but recently they have become completely out of hand.  I have about twelve rampaging around my head and in various stages of word count.  So to pin them down, and possibly stake them down and skin them, I’m making a list of those I have to tackle .

The immediate list is finish:

Bitter Harvest

and the three Planetary Bodies shorts.

After that Taboo.

That’s 5 wips to finish and sub by July.  I think I can do that.

Friction has a cover

I got a cover in my email today.  Ellora’s Cave have been nice enough to let me have the same Quickie cover for Friction as Magnetism.  It is Miranda to me 😀

And here’s the unofficial blurb

A deal is a deal.

But when that deal is to appear in Tomas Thorne’s office ready to offer herself for his…consumption, Shan Rayner runs, hides and has no intention of going through with it.  That is until she’s hit by sheen, a turbulent force from the Uranian lower atmosphere.  A force that brings her darkest desires to the surface.

Need swamps her and she finds herself outside his office and all too ready to agree to anything he wants. Absolutely anything.

Six Sentence Sunday: Wild Card

Okay, I have been a bad, bad Sunday Sixer.  The next bit of Current is barely legible scribbles in my notebook.  I’m squinting at them now.  Barely doesn’t cover it.  So… I did the random number thing, listed my wips and books and picked one for today. Hence ‘Wild Card’.  I will actively ignore the bunny that is twitching over this title.

And the winner is…

Flesh and Shadows

Now one man, with simply a dash of an alien reptile, had her thrown.

Rand’s soft laughter pulled at her and his finger traced down her throat to the open neck of her blouse. He skirted above the swell of her breast. Niamh’s pelvis tightened, wanting to deny the ache, the way Rand’s calloused fingers excited her skin. “Unlike the snake that bit me, I like to play.”

As always, you can read more 6 Sundays here.
