Sometimes it’s quicker to mix Daz figures and stock photos, so today it’s pulling the two together as seamlessly as I can. I’m getting there 🙂

Space Medusa
I’ve been bad at not updating here. My Instagram account is a good place to catch up.
And the light on this one was a bit of a mare.
I’m still flailing my way around Daz Studio, so I may have it wrong, but I had to delete a shedload of lights that came with this Scifi background. There was an egregious amount and my machine can only take 8. After that, there was lots of fiddling with dome settings and the annoyance that is the Sun-Sky thing…
I am happy with the end result though. This image has no post work on it and I think it stands up okay.

Cyborg-4
A practice piece for lighting exterior backgrounds. I’ve always had trouble lighting this particular model’s skin too. And I kitbashed, as the cyborg add-ons completely ignore the torso, which is odd.
The complete thing is a bit 60s scifi, but *shrug* 😉
Btw, I was supposed to be making a new webbanner…and than Nix 8 appeared. Oops?

Cyborg-2
Someone slightly more…lethal this time 😉
And I discovered a camera focusing tool.
All hail Near DOF Plane Visibility and its Opacity slider. I can see where the focus is, rather than holding up a wet finger to the wind.
I admit to squeeing.
Also I uped the rendering time by an hour, which seems to have worked better too as there’s minimal Photoshoping on this image.
Now I’m away to that thing called writing now… 😉
A Cyborg’s Best Friend
Oh, I had w-a-y too much fun with blending layers in Photoshop with this one. It seems to work though.
And every cyborg should have a scruffy little friend…

All daz3d renders, mine.
Steampunk Robot Vampire Hunter
Yes, Steampunk Robot Vampire Hunter…because, why not?! 😉
The light was giving me problems…but I’ve got it where I like it. I could go lighter, but I prefer her eyes being the brightest point. Photoshop ftw 🙂
And this is obviously *not* inspired by my wip…which I need to look at now. No more Daz3d until I get my daily word count! *boo!*

First day on the job…
First day on the job…
Possibly the last of my shadowy images for a while, though I can’t guarantee it. 😉 I have to see what calls to me.
I’m off to write now – yay. I think falling into Daz3d may have kick-started a part of my writing brain…or it could just be I’m sitting at my desktop and I have to find something to do when a 2 hour render is going on… 😉

Places to be…
Yet another bike courier 😉 What? The bike was free… lol
The bike was fairly low-res, so it looked weird with the super-detailed rider. Enter a bit of photoshop tweaking to blend it a little…and I’m liking my grim-faced bikerider!

Courier, bike and background, mine. I also meddled in Photoshop 🙂
The Courier
All mine, no Despositphotos or DesignCuts backgrounds, whee!
I wish I could use Bryce 7 to generate backgrounds, but that software doesn’t work with my version of Mac, which is a complete pita. *sigh* So there will be more stockphotos in my future renders if the environments I do have don’t fit.
But Urban Future 5 works for all of my Cyberpunk/BladeRunner-y needs *grin*

The Courier, her bike and the background, mine 🙂
A contender…
I’ve had my eye on this background for so long, I’m happy to have a chance to use it! 🙂 I think this could also be a new contender for my phone wallpaper. I have Grumpy Blue at the minute.
Also, pfft to dForce! I really have to get a handle on how simulation works, but it was a nightmare for this image, so it was me and the little sliding dials.
There might be more images of this alien woman. Just saying…
